Differences Matter

Image
Differences Matter   God give me someone who I can think alike with, someone who can see the same as me, someone who has values like me, someone I can agree with, someone I can walk with; have you ever offered a prayer like this? I mean it’s a wonderful prayer. Actually, if you have ever hurt someone because you cannot agree on something, you can understand the need to have someone with the same lens as you. From a young age I have grown up seeing and feeling the trauma of differences in people who are trying to be together.  So, I learnt to believe it’s nice to have someone who is your other version, someone who is the bone of your bones, the flesh of your flesh, someone who you can see yourself in. I too have trusted God for such. I told God to help me be a version someone would like to have, a version someone can walk with, a version someone can see herself and themselves in. But I recently was just thinking a lot over this kind of request. Early tonight I was li...

The Unspoken Word   Years from now, sitting next to you  somewhere in the world, I will say to you:  Remember when you were 18? I do And I remember on that day on that chat on that night telling you  I'd always be there you But looking back on my words, that's one thing I couldn't do But I know what I did, At the very edge of your 18, I saw you Am sorry that it took me long to see you and then find you Am sorry I had to let you be the first Coz later in the journey you told me that I don't know what it took you to say hi first I have to find out about that, but I thank God you said hi You said high and I saw you high   And remember when you were 19? I do, and let me remind you At 19, we friended a lot more We talked a lot more, we saw each other a lot more and we smiled a lot more I began missing you a lot more, but I didn't tell you a lot more Almost everything was a lot more With a lot more progressing, so was a lot...

Peace in the Piece

Peace in the Piece Dear Wife done by Clayton Jennings, out of all the pieces I listen to done by Clayton, I have listened to this piece a lot last year but since yesterday, I felt I have grown to listen to it with a new ear. The honesty I got to see in this piece has just been one of the things that got me reflect on my life, only to find out that yeah...truth in this. The first time I listened to this piece, I loved it and I was inspired to write my heart out in what I call The Unspoken Word. I will share later on but let's listen to Clayton first. Sometimes, just sit back and remember the times before today. It's energy in those times. I hope you will enjoy the piece!!! Dear Wife by Clayton Jennings Remember when we were thirteen? I do And I remember telling you on the bus that I was gonna marry you Do you ever think back on those days? I rarely do 'Cause when I do, I think about all the bad times that came after more than I care to I remember all the times I made you ...

You Are Positioned

Image
You are positioned Every time you hear the name iPhone, what comes to your mind? How about when you hear itel? Presumably, iPhone beats itel yeah? Why do you think it is so? That's the power of marketing. You see, every product attains a position in the minds of customers. In every industry every product has a rank it holds in a customer and to be competitive enough, there's a need that you create a product that rises above the ranks of other products of its nature. What highly ranks an iPhone from those smartphones below it is its distinct nature. It has features that others don't have probably. With all these superior features, you appreciate that yes it's really worthy millions of kwachas. You know what, sometimes value is in the difference. Get different with your product, get unique with it.   Why am I telling you this? You should understand that every person has a position in your life and you have a position in everyone's life. How you perceiv...

What Do You Want?

Image
What do you want? There are some questions that are key to the stability and success of your life. Unless you answer such questions, somehow somewhere you end up missing out on the important course. Such one question is, what do you want? Clarity of the desire of your heart is road to contentment. What you don't know you want cannot be all there is even when you have it. It shall be of meaning to you when you have it only if you wanted it in the first place. So, what do you want? What do you want? This has been an important question I had to answer for the past 2-3 months. At first it looked as a simple question to answer, but the more I thought about it is the more deep I saw it. In every sphere of life, you gotta know what you want, but today: what do you want for a relationship; you're single and searching, that's good, but who do you want? If you cannot answer this question yet, then let the relationship wait. You gotta figure out this part of you ...
